As you know, we’re all about diversity and inclusion at Team Austin. You’ve heard us talk about diversifying the tech industry. Tech jobs should be accessible for all individuals, no matter your professional backgrounds and experience levels.
And Hack Reactor just made tech education a lot easier. They received $1.3M for their Scholarship Fund.
In the last round, Hack Reactor distributed 6 scholarships worth $18,000 each to some pretty outstanding candidates.
This immersive coding school teaches you to become a full stack Software Engineer. It’s a 12-week course that ends with job placement and lifelong network of alumni. Their students move into companies like Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn.
With campuses on both coasts and offering remote coursework, Hack Reactor is another alternative to college and graduate schools.
The intensive boot camp believes in a more diverse and equitable tech workforce. 50% of their Hack Reactor Scholarship Fund is awarded to underrepresented groups in the tech community, including but not limited to people of color, women, and the LGBT community.
The Hack Reactor Scholarship runs April 3rd to May 19th and winners are announced on June 9th, 2017.
Apply now to take advantage of a full-tuition scholarship award. Women, People of Color, and the LGBTQ community are encouraged to apply. http://bit.ly/HackReactorScholarshipCP
